Researched holiday house-visiting traditions from around Newfoundland and Labrador for the Mummers Festival’s first fashion show, Walk This Way: Mummers, Janneys, and More!, which was held at The Rooms.

Researched the role of food in the lives of people who regularly visit the Rabbittown Community Centre.

Wrote field notes, organized and conducted interviews, used digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and Zoom recorders, and logged metadata for the Memorial University of Newfoundland Folklore and Language Archive (MUNFLA).

Presented findings at a community meeting hosted by the centre and wrote articles about them to be published in collaboration with Heritage NL.

Archived metadata for 80 interviews on Partition, when the British Crown divided the subcontinent of South Asia into India and Pakistan along religious lines.

Copy-edited 90 summaries of multigenerational personal experience narratives.

Work displayed at the Stanford University Libraries, so experiences of community and conflict can be referenced in the future to build interpersonal understanding.
WRITING MEMORIES VOLUNTEER

Interviewed a senior citizen once a week for an hour, for 6 weeks.

Wrote a 12-page narrative memoir about the senior citizen's life, drawing from the stories she shared during the interviews.

Collaborated with Writing Memories editors to polish drafts of the story over the next couple of years.

Currently, the society is preparing to publish the narrative, alongside ones written by other volunteers, in a book.
SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY VOLUNTEER
Centre A: Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art

• Planned the promotion of Centre A's annual fundraising event, Off Keefer, on social media (primarily Instagram) in collaboration with a group of students and Centre A employees.
• Researched similar institutions' social media strategies and used the findings to suggest ways to increase account traffic and garner ticket sales for the event.
• Helped create a 7-week content calendar for the social media strategy, including post topics, descriptions, and hashtags.
